NEW-White Dance Floor One of the exciting new offerings now available through Millennium is a beautiful multi-sectional white dance floor. As opposed to traditional wooden dance floors, this dance floor provides a more contemporary look to a wedding or party and blends well with our custom-drapery and lighting options. Pictured at right, the white dance floor provides a perfect canvas for our water lights, which create a stunning visual effect and provide a very unique look to any event!

WEDDING SPOTLIGHT | Siess / Van Dillon Reception

Millennium teamed up last month at the Siess/Van Dillon reception by offering 3 areas of wedding expertise: DJ services through Millennium Music, lighting and décor services through Millennium Design, and cinematic video services through Millennium Video.

Tom Stuart DJ'd the reception on behalf of Millennium Music. As usual, Tom took the time to familiarize himself with Tiffany and Ryan's custom song list; developing a smooth order in which to play each song to keep the dance floor packed, and keeping aside a special hand-picked list of songs to reference whenever he needs to push the crowd over the edge. With full control of all the lighting in the room, our surround-sound dance floor add-on, and Tom's expertise in mixing music, he was able to provide the exact atmosphere that Tiffany and Ryan were looking for. Preparation is key in being a successful DJ, and Tom rocked the night!

While Tom was creating a great vibe on the dance floor, our team at Millennium Design had created a warm environment off the dance-floor with our custom lighting and décor services. For starters, we emphasized a custom triple-draped entrance that served as a dramatic reveal for the bride and groom at the beginning of the reception. Additionally, a warm amber glow filled an already gorgeous ballroom to add a simple touch of elegance that matched the colors for the wedding. Later, these amber-colored lights changed with the music later in the night to create a more club / dance environment, per Tiffany and Ryan's request. With our pin lighting, guest tables were highlighted in white to showcase each individual centerpiece. We also featured a custom made monogram, which projected the bride and groom's name onto on a white taipei silk backdrop - providing a perfect focal point for the room.

Regarding Millennium's video services, the day started perfectly with clear skies and bright sunshine. The ceremony was held at the beautifully-adorned Shrine of St Joseph and both Tiffany and Ryan were happy and in great spirits as they proclaimed their love for one another in front of a large group of family and friends. An added bonus to filming this wedding was the incorporation of our lighting and décor services through Millennium Design. Its amazing how much of a difference accent lighting can add to the quality of our video footage – Emphasized strongly by our color-changing up-lighting around the venue and the white pin-lights directed onto the tables: All of those little details increased the quality of our footage exponentially. Without a doubt, Tiffany and Ryan have a beautiful wedding video to look forward to!

LAST MONTH'S EVENTS | A Look Back...

Reception for Jonathan & Zoya Townsley | Reception at Top Of The Met | Millennium Music & Millennium Design

The Wedding of Jonathan and Zoya was an awesome day! And a great example of how other cultures celebrate the same type of event. From the last minute re-arrange at the ceremony due to weather, to the surprise 'live' recessional song ("All You Need Is Love"!) provided by Millennium Live, to the crazy vodka-fueled reception - the entire day was full of changes and surprises. But JT and Zoya and all the guests seemed not only to not notice, but to actually embrace the 'what will happen next' vibe. Accordians and a washtub bass - check! Russian vodka with every toas - you bet! Games and prizes and video slideshows - got 'em all.

Millennium Design ensured that the Top of the Met looked fantastic, and in the end everyone had an awesome time, with many thanks and hugs from Zoya, JT, their ENTIRE family, and many of the guests still there at the end of that wonderful day!

Wedding for Ryan and Jennifer Andrews | Ceremony at Lighthouse Pentacostal Church | Millennium Design

The beautiful thing about design elements is that they can be customized to fit any style and any space. In April the Millennium Design department was able to help Ryan and Jennifer create an inviting setting for their wedding ceremony. Our finishing touches included two free standing white backdrops, an elegant entrance to highlight the entrance of the bride, a custom made monogram, and white uplighting.

The end result was a simple, yet intimate, atmosphere: Proof that quality in taste and design always comes out ahead for the over all look of the event. We look forward to working with all sizes of weddings.

30th Birthday Party for Dona Wagrodski | Held at Scape Bistro | Millennium Design, Millennium Music & Millennium Video

Why not have a super fun bash for your 30th Birthday party?? Well this client did! She chose Scape American Bistro in Central West End, which of course is one of the best venues to work with. Millennium Productions went all out to make this clients party be one of a kind. We had video messages to the birthday girl right as you walked in. A media step and repeat wall accentuated with red velvet stations, white glow tables and of course the white dance floor flooded with moving water lights to create a dance atmosphere like no other.

Chris the DJ made sure to keep the dance floor crowded and the party of course went into the wee hours of the night! Dona called on Monday and raved about the event and how this would of course be known as the best birthday she had ever had. Thank you to everyone’s hard work in making Dona's 30th birthday a stellar one!
